Defend Europe just ended its first mission! It was a success. Undisputabley. Totally. A political success, a media success, and a success in activism. This mission could only exist thanks to the mobilization of the thousands of people who supported us financially. Defend Europe has received an enormous amount of media coverage. While almost all were hostile, and several were lying, these articles and TV reports brought our action to the minds of millions of people. It is this media impact which allowed our political success.
All of Europe now knows that some of these so-called NGOs were actually active accomplices of smuggler mafias and, for others, useful idiots. Defend Europe showed that by being in the right place at the right time we are able to efficiently influence governements and win concrete results.
